Wedderburn - Engagement

Stakeholder Engagement

Throughout the duration of the NOASP amendment process, we have worked closely with the Town of Okotoks as well as residents to gather feedback on our proposal and ensure our development vision is feasible.

What we heard from initial reviews:

  • More study is required on the transportation impacts of new development, especially 338 Avenue.

  • Green space should be consolidated into larger and more flexible park spaces, and all residents should be within walking distance of a park space.

  • More technical studies are required including an Environmental Site Assessment, Biophysical Overview, Historical Resources Overview and a Transportation Impact Assessment.

  • New policies addressing sustainable development are required.

  • Density targets should be updated to align with the MDP targets.

Our application has been revised to reflect what we heard during initial stakeholder engagement.
